I am a Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Fauji Foundation Hospital and Foundation University Medical College, with more than three decades of experience in clinical practice, teaching, postgraduate training and academic leadership. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to improving the care of women with complex gynaecological conditions. My engagement with endometriosis and adenomyosis has developed through clinical care, academic activities and professional education, including participation as a facilitator in an International Symposium on Endometriosis in 2023 and as an invited guest speaker on updates in the treatment of endometriosis in 2025. These experiences have reinforced my interest in improving awareness, timely recognition and evidence-based management of these often challenging conditions.
Work & Mission
As a clinician, educator and departmental leader, my work focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centred gynaecological care while strengthening the knowledge and skills of undergraduate students, postgraduate trainees and practising clinicians. I advocate greater awareness of endometriosis and adenomyosis among both healthcare professionals and the community, with emphasis on earlier recognition, appropriate referral and individualized multidisciplinary care. Through the Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Society Pakistan, I hope to contribute to professional education, collaborative research, development of context-appropriate clinical guidance and wider public awareness, ultimately helping reduce diagnostic delay and improve quality of life for affected women.
