Prof. Nabia Tariq is a distinguished Consultant Gynaecologist, medical educator, researcher, and women’s health advocate with over three decades of experience in clinical practice, education, and professional leadership. She is the Founding General Secretary of the Endometriosis Adenomyosis Society (EAS) of Pakistan, established with a vision to improve recognition, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of women living with endometriosis and adenomyosis. A key focus of her work through EAS has been patient advocacy and support, and helps patients navigate their healthcare journey with greater confidence and dignity.
An important contribution has been her involvement in developing Good
Clinical Practice Recommendations for Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, with the objective of supporting clinicians in delivering standardized, evidence-informed, patient-centred care.
Work & Mission
As Founding General Secretary of the Endometriosis Adenomyosis Society (EAS) of Pakistan, the mission is to:
- Break the silence and stigma surrounding endometriosis and adenomyosis
- Establish a strong patient-support network that empowers women with reliable information, emotional support, and access to appropriate care.
- Improve early recognition and diagnosis by educating healthcare professionals and promoting multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.
- Implement and promote Good Clinical Practice Recommendations based on current evidence and adapted to the healthcare realities of Pakistan.
- Promote research and collaboration to generate local evidence on disease burden, diagnosis, treatment, quality of life, fertility, and long-term health outcomes.
- Build capacity among clinicians, particularly young gynaecologists and trainees, through educational programmes, workshops, and professional development.
- Advocate for accessible, affordable, and equitable care, particularly for women who face financial, geographical, or social barriers.
Foster national and international partnerships to bring global expertise, innovation, and best practices to endometriosis and adenomyosis care in Pakistan.
