I am Dr. Bushra Rauf, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at KGMC and Incharge of Gynae B Unit, HMC. I have over 30 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with special interests in laparoscopic surgery and infertility.
My clinical journey has involved extensive experience in both open and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. My work with women facing pain, infertility, and complex gynaecological conditions has strengthened my interest in endometriosis and adenomyosis.
I have been involved in clinical and academic discussions on endometriosis and infertility throughout my career. I believe these conditions require individualized, evidence-based care, with attention to pain, fertility, and quality of life. My aim is to improve early recognition, counselling, and holistic management of women affected by endometriosis and adenomyosis.
Work & Mission
My work focuses on improving women’s reproductive and gynaecological health through clinical care, teaching, research, and advocacy. I advocate for early recognition and appropriate management of endometriosis and adenomyosis. I believe women’s symptoms, particularly chronic pelvic pain and infertility, should be taken seriously and investigated appropriately. I promote individualized, evidence-based management while considering each woman’s fertility goals and quality of life.
Through teaching and academic engagement, I aim to improve awareness and clinical skills among healthcare professionals. I want to share practical knowledge, experience, and evidence with the community to support better patient care. My mission is to ensure that women with endometriosis and adenomyosis are heard, understood, and managed with compassion and expertise.
